In September of 2005, Steve House and Vince Anderson climbed the Rupal Face on Nanga Parabat. This was an exceptionally difficult climb in a high and cold environment. Below are links to two videos on the gear and clothing that these two alpinists used. Certainly if these systems worked in such an environment, they should be considered for less extreme circumstances as well.
